Calgary Geocaching

Our aunt & uncle invited us to Calgary for a visit. We've hardly found any geocaches in Calgary before and the weather forecast was looking pretty darn good so we decided to go.

We spent most of our time visiting, but we still managed to find a few caches. We even managed to get our very first webcam cache!

We almost got the webcam cache in downtown Vancouver this summer, but as luck would have it that camera got shut down just a week before we made it down. The most frusterating part was that I only worked three blocks away for years and I had no end of chances to get that cache. Oh well. That's what happens when you procrastinate I guess!

Anyhow, after three years we finally have found at least one webcam cache. Phew.

We also bought ourselves a Christmas present while we were there: a Garmin eTrex HCx GPS! After 569 caches with our eTrex H (a fantastic GPS by the way), we decided it was time for a treat. We're not sure what to do with the old one though; it's well used but works great. I think we'll hang on to it and use it as a "loaner" GPS when friends come to visit.
